Souad Gojif: I tested the iSeelk silk pillowcase

https://souandyou.fr/jai-teste-la-taie-d-oreiller-en-soie-iseelk/

For the past few weeks, I’ve been testing the mulberry silk pillowcase from the Iseelk brand, a bit by chance, I must confess! Friends had told me about it, particularly for its benefits for hair. And since I received it, I can no longer sleep without this pillowcase! It’s completely addictive, I assure you, but not just for my hair! I’ve noticed effects on my skin. Since the lockdown, my skin has been a real disaster, and the softness of the Iseelk pillowcase has truly changed how I fall asleep, and my breakouts have faded since. I’ll explain everything below.

iSeelk, the luxury mulberry silk anti-wrinkle pillowcases. 100% Natural. Anti-aging. Moisturizing. Anti-frizz. Hypoallergenic and Thermoregulating. Retail price €69.90: 50cmx75cm. Retail price €79.90: 65cmx65cm in pink and ivory

Everything you need to know about the Iseelk pillowcase

What are the skin benefits of using silk?

Silk has an anti-aging effect

Silk contains natural proteins and 18 essential amino acids that accelerate skin cell metabolism and help fight the effects of aging. This is all the more important because it is at night that the skin "works" and regenerates, producing new cells twice as fast as during the day. The silky texture of silk prevents the formation of "sleep lines" resulting from the repeated rubbing of your face against your pillow, unlike the much rougher cotton fiber.

Silk dehydrates less than cotton

One of the properties of cotton is its ability to absorb up to 30% of its weight in liquid. Silk does not do this; its absorbency is only about 11%. It therefore dehydrates the epidermis much less than cotton and maintains the skin’s natural hydration throughout the night. Sleeping on a silk pillowcase allows your skin to look better and stay more supple. Silk preserves the youthfulness of the face.

What are the skin benefits of using silk?

Silk is hypoallergenic: Silk retains very few impurities due to the very structure of its fibers. In the weaving of silk threads, there is very little space where dust and other allergens that irritate the skin and eyes can get in. Furthermore, the enzymes present in silk prevent the appearance of small blemishes and help regulate acne: the skin breathes and rests on a more hygienic surface. The use of silk is therefore advised for its many antibacterial qualities.

Silk is hypoallergenic: Silk absorbs fewer creams and hair treatments than cotton. You can go to bed without worry after applying your night cream: your treatment will be optimal.

Silk is also excellent for hair!

The soft and silky silk fabric allows hair to "glide" over the pillowcase and limits excessive friction that causes hair breakage. The appearance of "split ends" and "tangles" is visibly reduced, hair breaks less, and hair loss is curbed. Who says supple and detangled hair also says less hair loss in the long term. Finally, silk acts by capturing moisture, thus creating a protective barrier that keeps your hair properly hydrated. It absorbs much less of the sebum present on your hair.

Now you know everything about the silk pillowcase which, as you have understood, I can no longer live without for sweet dreams.
