Hello guys! I hope you're all doing well! I'm back this Tuesday with a long-term review. I keep hearing about the benefits of a silk pillowcase lately, whether it’s for sleep, skin, or hair. So, I wanted to form my own opinion on the matter, and that’s why we’re here today to see what I thought of it! For my part, I tested the one from ISeelk.

My review/test:

Mulberry silk pillowcase – Iseelk (€69.90)

I received a powder pink pillowcase; the only downside was the size! The agency in charge of shipping didn't ask for the dimensions, so I received a 70×50 case for a 65×65 pillow 😅 I still managed to more or less squeeze my pillow inside for the test, but I think I’ll eventually buy a pillow with the right dimensions!

The first night, I found the sensation really special; the material was a bit cold but not unpleasant, and above all, so soft! I often wake up with pillow marks on my face, and with the silk, during the 2 weeks of testing, that was never the case!

The sensation is actually very pleasant; every night I looked forward to getting into bed, haha. Among the long-term benefits, I saw a real improvement in my skin, both regarding marks upon waking and in terms of radiance and health. I didn't truly believe the idea that silk doesn't absorb creams unlike cotton, but one night when I woke up, after applying a moisturizing oil before bed, I could see that the product was still on my skin!

As for hair, I personally haven't seen a change yet; I think those are benefits you surely notice over the very long term.

Regarding maintenance, after two weeks, the pillowcase only had one small stain which came out in the wash; I wash the case by hand in lukewarm/cold water.

Conclusion:

In short, I would say I am very satisfied with this product. I felt a real difference regarding my sleep and especially my facial skin, which is not negligible. Moreover, the price of this pillowcase remains quite affordable considering the prices charged by other brands. I think it’s a good gift idea! It isn't a "necessary" product, but I find it brings a real little extra when it's time to go to bed. Be careful, however: my pillowcase is a bit transparent compared to the image below; if you have a patterned pillow protector underneath, it will show through. Also, another important detail: some people might not like the "cold" sensation when resting their head on the material; I feel it's important to mention that.

For my part, if you want to test it, I totally recommend it. I’m now waiting for several more months of testing to see the hair benefits, as that is my biggest issue!
