What can peptides do for our hair?

Peptides are very effective in hair care because they are very small and penetrate the hair follicle easily. Once they reach it, they have two main effects: they prevent breakage by increasing hydration and make your hair thicker. Peptides restore the hair's internal bonds and improve cuticle production. They contribute to better hair growth and increase the diameter and elasticity of each strand; peptides increase the water content of the hair and help improve its resistance, which reduces the risk of cracks and breakage.

Which hair types can benefit from using peptides?

Actually, everyone, but "dry, damaged, combination hair, or even hair that is usually in good condition but is going through a rough patch can all benefit from using peptides in hair products." Peptides can be excellent for textured hair, so look for them in hair masks or deep treatments.

Will peptides make your hair grow?

Unfortunately, there is no magic solution to make hair grow (although genetics, a good diet, and proper hair care play a role).
You need a good foundation to start building muscle, and the same goes for hair. If genetics have already killed the hair follicles, a hair serum will not bring them back to life. It can, however, increase hair production or quality in existing healthy cuticles.

How do you use a peptide serum?

Most peptide products on the market are currently available in the form of a serum that you apply directly to a clean, dry scalp and leave on. There are a few shampoos and conditioners that contain peptides which, once applied to the hair, penetrate the hair shaft and help repair damage.
